Just 3 Updates...and Some Exciting News!

This was a super busy week, and I am sure it was the same for you as well, what with March ending around the corner. We were busy on two fronts simultaneously—working through the mid-night hours to get the March issue out (before the month ends!) and working on Debraj Ghosh's Podcast release.
The Weekend Aquarist Magazine's March issue is now available on Magzter (Digital Edition), and the Print Edition will be dispatched to all Print subscribers starting 31 March. But wait...that's not all. Print Edition subscribers have now been upgraded to the "The Best of Both Worlds" offer, which means they get to enjoy both editions—digital as well as Print!!
If you haven't subscribed to the magazine yet, grab the limited-time "Best of Both Worlds" Offer—subscribe to the Print edition for just Rs.1750/—for 12 issues and get the Digital edition subscription complimentary for the same period!

And then there was the other exciting news (I should have opened with this one!) about the Channa nachi, a new species of channa discovered by a hobbyist! In case you missed the story which Praveen Jaysimhan shared, here it is:

When Farham Sangma, a fish hobbyist from Meghalaya, collected a peculiar-looking fish from a remote stream in South Garo Hills four years ago, he had no idea that he was holding a species unknown to science. The fish has been officially recognized as Channa nachi, a new species of snakehead, highlighting the incredible biodiversity of Meghalaya’s freshwater ecosystems.
Read about the discovery in the original story published on the Hubnetwork below:

We are following the stories about the recent Channa sp discoveries (the earlier one was Channa amphibious) and hope to share more details soon.
